Gangs, Guns and The Guardian
Here is an article I believe everyone should read. Today's spiraling problem of gangs and gun crime are well-publicised, but truly worrying is the widespread lack of understanding of the roots of this epidemic.
TV? Computer games? Grime? Lets be realistic. Surely the irony is that our media perpetuates a blame culture that overlooks the real issues; lack of community investment, broken homes, sparse job opportunities...
Aside from the odd condescending article on London Tonight - framing estates as zoos and yout's as caged animals - not enough is done to represent the voice of a neglected generation. This poignant and insightful series of interviews seeks to redress the balance;
