Fresh & Baron @Pressure

Breakbeat Kaos DJ's Fresh and Baron touched down to Pressure @The Cooler last Thursday night. DJ Dynamic kicked things off, with Version and Killz following on for a typically rolling set spiced with some darkness. Things really got warming with the arrival of local-turned-big-boy-in-the-scene, Baron. The man has really been making waves in the scene with his jump up bangers, and clearly relished the chance to smash up his old haunt at Pressure. Killa held down the set, ably assisted by MC Algar. My boy Bensun then filled in for the late arrival of BK head honcho Fresh, managing to lift the mainly local screwface-or-pillface crowd. Fresh came and dropped big tune after big tune, including his own Breakbreat Kaos VIP, a few classics and bare dubplates. His set was near relentless and great fun. Bensun carried the flame 'til 3am for the stamina crew.

All in all a good night (and an excellent weekend), save for the wastemans who were trying to invade the mic. Seeing as this is my blog, let me air some breeze. Killa got a lot of hassle all night from wannabe 'MCs' wanting a piece of the action. This constant battle with every other MC comes with the territory, and is what all MCs should face. But Thursday was excessive - with no security and mans in my face for 4 hours solid. Scummers even stormed the stage and stopped the show. How many times can you say 'No' constructively? Pay some f***ing respect. If you all really had skills you wouldn't be a pussy 'bout things. F***ing waste. Do some reading... Wannabe MCs. And Security, sort your shit out. Aired.

On a lighter note, news just in: ++ Mampi Swift & Friction at Pressure in May!!! ++ After a 5 year wait, the double drop monster Mampi is hitting The Cooler, with none other than hot-as-shit Friction. Details to follow. Big big big.
