Take A Second... Lyric

As I spend more time dossing in front of the TV (exam time), Im getting increasingly infuriated by the hypocrisy and lies being passed off for politics in the news. So I wrote this after being inspired by Nas - my most political lyric yet...

Take a puff, Take a toke, Take a ticket, Take a note,
Time to takeover the boat, Take hope make it float,
Take the twist out the rope, Take the Cola out the Coke,
Wrote the lyrics to promote, Take it up like periscope,
Poke jokes at the pope, puttin' down the politicians,
If everybody just take a second to really listen,
To what the people say - And what the people wishing,
Politics and religion is causin' the divisions

And decisions are given to provide ammunition,
Ambitions of armies have now got the provisions,
But the power has risen and switched our position,
Now the mission is puttin' terrorism in the prisons,
But you're missin' what's written in between the lines,
Bombing other countries and tellin' me thats fine,
Sign of the times - When our leaders commit crimes,
Just cos Blair's lickin' Bush, balls, and the behind.
