Rock The Bells Review - Wu Tang Doc

Slung my skinny wet ass to the NFT by the South Bank to watch a preview screening of Rock The Bells; a documentary about one promoter's impossible(?) attempt to reform the Wu Tang Clan. One of the most talked about films at Resfest10, an impressive international festival of digital films, comprised mainly of music promos and shorts.

Its certainly worth watching, if only to witness one man's epic struggle to rein in so many characters and ego's - 10, in fact, who havent been on the same stage in 10 years. At times it is frustrating yet unbearably tense, at other points frightening but acutely funny. Containing awe-inspiring presence from RZA, downright hilarious footage of Redman and the tragic story of ODB's last gig it is certainly emotional viewing. Not to mention priceless footage of freestyle legend Supernatural alongside his little kid. Its more of an insight into the event than their music, but essential viewing nonetheless.
