Essence of Chi @Hidden - 29th April

Easter is traditionally the time for chocolate eggs (check), 4 day hard-chilling (check) and raving mash ups... boy, what a mash up. Big shouts to Sabre, Lowqui and all the Essence Of Chi crew bringing serious Good Friday vibes to Ministry of Sound.

In spite of heavyweight line-ups, Switch has struggled in recent months in the face of Fabric Live's roadblock sessions. Maybe Ministry's pretentious house reputation precedes them - or the prospect of venturing South of the River. One way or another ravers, heads and vibes are all conspicuously absent. Rahzel and Foreign Beggars (hold tight all messy afterparty crew) headlined the main room, but it was the Essence of Chi peeps who truly smashed it - ramming out the sweaty BabyBox room with a mix of Jungle and upfront sets. Top party, bare jokes.

The next, full scale takeover event is at Hidden on Saturday 29th April. Featuring Marcus Intalek, Fabio, AI, Norris 'Da Boss' Windross (all my 2-Step headz) & Deekline, its guaranteed to be blazing.
