2 Links To DnB Heaven
Here's a little something to keep dem toes tapping and bass-heads nodding. These two sets alone have dominated my speakers for the last week. Its time to spread the word...
The first is a top-drawer Bryan Gee set from Killa's current spiritual home, Herbal (East London) at a Metalheadz nite on 19th Jan 2005. Rammed full of fresh meaty goodness, with bare new Calibre, Logistics, High Contrast etc. dubplates. Its all about the rolling warm sub-basslines here people. You're a fool if u dont like this:

Next up is an absolute heavyweight. One for all the original junglists dem and MC lovers. Heartless Crew b2b Bailey with MC's Eksman b2b Fearless is one of the sickest sets I've heard in time. Now for all the uneducated, Heartless are one of the biggest names in UK Garage/Grime/wotever, and are always pullin' new trix. DJ Fonti and MC's Mighty Mo & Bushkin tried a little Jungle flex on their 1Xtra show at the end of 2004, with Bailey, Skiba, Det, Ragga Twinz & General Levy passin' thru. It was ruuuuuuude...quality havin' some of the best live performers from the 2 scenes cross paths and smack it, making all involved step up their levels. Now this right here is Part 2, and its betta cos Heartless come proper prepared for a 2+ hour takeover this time, and Eksman destroys everything in his path. It was a historical moment witnessing Eksman win Best MC over Skiba @Acc.Culture DnB Awards 2004, especially following him since his early RudeAwakening dayz. By toppling the Old Guard, he finally gave hope to all of us in the game. Beautiful. Anyway, nuff talking, more listening...
